Q. Does the free shipping on orders over $75 apply to the Online Fall Pre-Sale?
A. No. Local pickup in Salt Lake City, Utah is free. If you want the items shipped to you upon arrival at our warehouse, a fee of 15% of the order total will be added for shipping via UPS Ground. The 15% shipping fee will be added to the balance due at time of shipment. Orders under $75 are subject to a minimum $10 shipping and handling fee.
Q.What is your return policy?
A. Product returns are accepted with a receipt within 30 days of purchase, less shipping and handling charges. Without proof of purchase, exchanges for merchandise in new, unused condition can be made for in-store credit of the lowest selling price within the preceding 6 months. Gift receipts will be included upon request to assist you in returning/exchanging your product.
Q.Is this silver?
A. While appearing silver in color, our products are not made of silver. Therefore they do not cost as much as silver, nor do they require the same maintenance, and will not tarnish with time.

Q. What is pewter? What material is this made from?
A. Pewter can be any number of silver-gray metal alloys. This particular alloy is made of aluminum (for it’s shiny quality), copper (for its malleability) and silica (for its strength).

Q. Is it food safe? Does it contain lead?
A. Old Town Imports serveware products are food safe. Our materials are thoroughly tested for lead content, and surpass FDA requirements and Proposition 65 regulations.

Q. What about the imperfections?
A. Because each of our pieces are hand-made, they have unique markings, and are not considered to be imperfections. Slight variations are a natural part of the process, which authenticates the uniqueness of each piece.

A. Unlike sterling silver, these beautiful serveware pieces will not tarnish with time.

A. Like other metal items, these items may become scratched. Slight surface scratches may occur from regular use. To avoid major scratches, do not cut directly on product surface, or use stringent materials to clean it.

Q. Can you put it in the dishwasher?
A. This serveware should not be washed in the dishwasher. Hand-wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry. (You can also try using a good metal polish)

Q. Can I cook in it? Will it go in the fridge, freezer or oven?
A. Our serveware retains serving temperature beautifully. keep foods chilled or warmed. you can heat the serving pieces in the oven (not microwave) up to about 200 F, and it will keep foods warm for over an hour. OR chill it in the fridge or freezer to serve cold foods.

Q. What do you do with acidic foods?
A. When serving acidic foods, it is recommended to rub or spray a light coat of vegetable oil to act as a barrier against staining.

Q. What is the difference between Old Town Imports products and other brands?
A. Old Town Imports products are made of the same materials as many other brands (Wilton Armetale, Arthur Court, Nambe), however, they are considerably less in price than other name brands.

A. Orders are processed on a first-come, first- serve basis and all in-stock items will be shipped within 2-3 business days.

Q. Can you deliver to my international clients?
A. Yes! Shipping prices for delivery outside the U.S. vary based on destination. Delivery time is 4 to 6 weeks. All shipping charges are in U.S. dollars and do not include VAT, customs, duties or taxes. You will be contacted with exact shipping costs prior to sending your order. |

Q. Do you have a Quality Statement and Care Instructions?
A. Each piece from Old Town Imports is individually handcrafted by skilled artisans. Unique markings and other variations created during the sculpting, sand casting and polishing processes accent each piece’s authenticity and define its character. While minor scratches may occur from regular usage, proper care and handling will preserve the shine and brilliant appearance for years to come. To assist the recipient of your gift(s) in properly caring for pewter, we include a care card with each piece. |

Q. What if I have a sales tax license? I’m tax exempt on purchases?
A. Email, fax, or mail a copy of the Utah State Tax Commission Exemption Certificate (TC-721). Please be sure to include your company name and username (if applicable) on your fax cover sheet. Once we’ve verified your tax exempt, we’ll be sure to deduct all sales tax from the total cost of your order. |
