For generations, the pottery used a traditional salt glazing technique, adding salt to the kiln at peak temperature to create the distinctive glassy, textured surface for which these pieces became known.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eProduction has since ceased, making the remaining pieces increasingly special.
